Family album

photography

These photos are borne of the long excercise of cataloguing all the family photographs I have inherited after the death of my parents. Immersed in the job I realised that there were similar photos of family members taken when they were roughly the same age. The idea was formed of superimposing them to look for family resemblance and connections across the years. The resulting composite images were part of a larger exhibition that included 3D photographs of family and friends, a genealogy tree with portraits and other panels that traced parallels in my family photo history. The show was at Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology in 2010.
